Greetings from “OSAA”
Odisha Soochana Adhikar Abhijan is a platform of
Civil Society Groups, academics, intellectuals, and social activists
spearheading the campaign for effective implementation of the RTI Act in
Odisha. Since the beginning, OSAA has been engaged in a most constructive way
with the Government to enable effective implementation of the RTI Act
at grassroots level. It also works with national level organizations like the
National Campaign for People’s Right to Information (NCPRI) to sort out the
issues cropping up at national level. This Network has been organizing an
Annual State Convention to provide a platform to all stakeholders to share
their experiences and debate implementation of the RTI Act Odisha.
This year,
OSAA is going to organize the 7th State Convention
at Rourkela from 24th to 26th July, 2013. 500 RTI Activists retired
Govt. officials, NGOs, Journalists, Lawyers will be attending the
programme. The Theme for the discussion in the convention of
this year is “Whither
RTI is enforcing a Transparent and Accountable Governance system in Odisha” along with CIC decision bringing
Political Parties within the ambit of RTI Act. In this context,
we invite you to participate in the convention and
share your views with the participants. The details of the
programme and the speakers of the Convention will be intimated very
soon.
