Rani Mukherjee visited girls at the New Delhi office of anti-trafficking NGO, Apne Aap Women Worldwide, today.
Responding to an invitation by Apne Aap survivor-activist Fatima, who she met at the KBC show, the 'Talaash' actress visited the victims and survivors, and strongly condemned sex-trafficking.
Speaking at the event she said, "I will use every opportunity to ask for human traffickers to be sent to jail".
Decorating Fatima with the tag of 'the real-life Mardaani', Mukherjee said, "I am extremely inspired by Fatima's work and contributions. According to me, every girl needs to identify her inner courage and fighting against those who try to malign her self-respect".
The 'Aiyaa' star also highlighted the importance of self-defense training for girls and addressed the need for more female police officers.
Mukherjee has played the role of a tough cop fighting against child trafficking in her latest film 'Mardaani'.
