EuropeAid
is seeking proposals for The European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) – Country Based Support Scheme (CBSS) for India.
The purpose of this program is to combating gender-based
violence and discrimination which is today one of the most
widespread human rights violations, and the least
recognized.
§ To Promote Gender Equality and
Women’s rights
§ To address the root causes of
gender based violence and discrimination at institutional, structural,
ideological and operational levels
§ To address the consequences of
gender based violence and discrimination, through improved institutional
response
The
overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is € 900,000.00. The initial
planned duration of an action may not be lower than 24 months nor exceed 36
months.
Eligibility & Criteria-
§ be legal persons
§ be non profit making
§ belong to one of the following
categories: Civil society organisations including non-governmental
non-profit organisations, community based organisations and academic
institutions; public sector non-profit bodies andnetworks thereof at local, national,
regional and international level; or Human Rights Institutions
§ be established in India or in a
Member State of the European Union or in an accession or official candidate
country as recognised by the European Union or of the European Economic Area
§ be constituted in accordance with
the legislation in force in the country concerned ; be registered for at least
three years at the time of submission of the application
§ be directly responsible for the
preparation and management of the action with the
co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
§ be able to demonstrate that they
have regularly carried out activities in the field of development covered by this programme at
least during the last one year at the time of the submission of an application
