EXHIBITION ON ECOVILLAGE DESIGN
Kakirigumma Community School of ecology organises an exhibition on ecovillage design on 3rd July 2013. The participants of ecovillage design education will display the outcome of the hands on experiences. It is likely that variety of organic manure units, organic liquid manure, edible tower, SRI cultivation, different techniques of cultivation, different herbal medicines, products made of waste
materials, culture of tribes, local food of tribes and its preparation, different pulses and millets and its cultivation etc. will be exhibited.
The exhibition will be useful for those who are interested in ecology, culture, economy and climate change. The exhibition also will be useful to learn some of the organic manure making techniques and
herbal medicines components..
NGOs who would like to send representatives for this exhibition may arrive on 2nd July evening for the cultural event and food and accommodation will be arranged if advance notice is given. We have
simple accommodation for 100 people in dormitories /rooms and 15 cottages. Highly subsidised charge of Rs. 200 per person per day for dormitory accommodation and simple food and Rs.275 per person per day for cottage accommodation and simple food is offered for the exhibition day.
This will be the best opportunity for those who would like to see the bio diversity campus and eco friendly cottages and different species, ornamental nurseries, landscapes, hundreds of varieties of fruit trees and medicinal herbs and also learn about eco tourism unique designs.
